Each month in 2025, we’re publishing a mini bingo board with opportunities for you to get involved and make a difference in our local community. 

 

Feeling inspired? Print out or take a screenshot of this month’s bingo board. Civic Power Up Bingo 2025

Here’s more info (and links) about the action items from the March 2025 Civic Power Up Bingo card:

  • Attend Central Health’s Community Conversation – Central Health (which provides health care to low-income residents of Travis County) will share info about how their Healthcare Equity Plan is addressing healthcare gaps in the community and ask for feedback from the public. March 5th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the City of Austin Permitting and Development Center. 

  • Donate to your favorite nonprofit during Amplify Austin Day – Our city’s largest annual day of giving, Amplify Austin Day, is March 5th – 6th. Visit AmplifyATX.org to look through a list of hundreds of local nonprofits (sorted by issue area/cause) and donate directly online! 

  • Support the food bank at KUTX Live – Go local during SXSW and enjoy live morning shows March 12th – 15th from 8am to noon at Scholz Garten. The $10 daily entry donation goes directly to Central Texas Food Bank! 

  • Attend the LGBTQIA+ Cultural Center Town Hall – Share your thoughts on how the city should invest in LGBTQIA+ community centers. Hosted by the LGBTQ Quality of Life Commission. March 3rd at 6:30pm at the City of Austin Permitting and Development Center. 

  • Share your thoughts on the city’s budget – City Manager T.C. Broadnax is hosting a series of community conversations about how the city should spend its money next year. March 5th at 6:30pm at the South Austin Rec Center, March 24th at 6:30pm at the Asian American Resource Center, March 29th at 10:30am at the Learning Resource Center, April 3rd at 6:30pm at the Northwest Rec Center. 

  • Play Texas Nature Lotería – Support the Texas Land Conservancy (which works to protect the land, water, and wildlife of Texas) with a fun game of nature-inspired bingo. March 5th from 5pm to 9pm at Easy Tiger – South Lamar. 

  • Become a First Vote volunteer – Help register high school seniors to vote by volunteering with the League of Women Voters’ First Vote program. The volunteer training workshop is on March 8th from 10am to noon at the Baker Center Cafetorium. 

  • Each cheese and support the Shoal Creek Conservancy – Join for a guided cheese tasting… benefitting the Shoal Creek Conservancy (a nonprofit that works to protect Shoal Creek and the Shoal Creek Trail). March 4th from 6:30pm to 9pm at Antonelli’s Cheese Tasting Room on South Lamar Boulevard.
