Some changes are coming to the beloved and beautiful Hamilton Pool. Starting May 15th, if you plan on visiting the pool you’ll have to make a reservation ahead of time and pay an increased fee. The Travis County Commissioners voted last week to implement these changes in response to an overwhelming increase in the pool’s popularity. During the summer months, the pool has gotten so crowded that about 70 percent of people are turned away, creating terrible traffic problems on Ranch Road 12. More info>>

The new Hamilton Pool visitors system is as follows:

• From May through September, visitors will have to make reservations online in advance for one of two swim sessions (9am – 1pm and 2pm – 6pm)
• The current $15 vehicle fee will still apply, with an added $10 online reservation fee and $1 credit card processing fee
• These new changes will only apply during the peak season from May through September
