It might not be time for SXSW Eco quite yet (it’s in October), but the festival did make a big announcement last week. Famed science educator Bill Nye will be the keynote speaker at this year’s conference. He’ll be giving a talk on the science behind climate change, as well as the ways to alter its course. Ever since his 90s television show, “Bill Nye The Science Guy,” Nye has been making science entertaining and accessible, both for children and adults.
“We are delighted to announce that Bill Nye will deliver a Keynote address at SXSW Eco,” said Morgan Catalina, SXSW Eco executive producer, in a press release. “He continues to inspire curiosity and excitement in the sciences, and his work truly embodies the spirit of SXSW Eco – making complex social and environmental issues accessible and entertaining to the widest audience possible.” More info>>
