He will join us February 1st after serving as the Executive Director of the California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA) for the last few years. Mr. Gedert has led various programs focused on recycling, and most recently “zero waste”, since 1975. Prior to leading the CRRA, Mr. Gedert served as the Chief of Commercial Solid Waste Operations for the City of Fresno where he directed the city’s multi-family and residential recycling programs. Mr. Gedert brings vast experience in the solid waste industry with a definite focus on redefining the concept of “waste” in our society. As we begin to implement our Zero Waste Plan, Bob’s experience in not only developing plans, but also in actually implementing those plans, will be invaluable.
