That’s why a team of entrepreneurs, farmers, and chefs have teamed up to launch Lettuce GrowShare… and they want you to join them.

Lettuce GrowShare is a new program from Lettuce Networks (a local, zero-waste meal kit delivery service). The program is designed to build new urban farms right here in Austin, bring more local food into the community, and help landowners and farmers earn some extra income.

Here’s how it works. 

You can sign up for for Lettuce GrowShare in one of three ways:

• Urban Homesteader – you have some extra land and the time/knowledge to grow some food on it (aka – hands and land)
• Urban Farmer – you don’t have any land, but you have some gardening/farming knowledge (aka – hands)
• Urban Farm Host – you have some extra land, but you don’t have the time to farm on it (aka – land)

Lettuce will help get your farm started (or if you don’t have any land, connect you to a landowner who needs help on their farm) and then buy back the produce you grow for their meal kit delivery service.

Worried that your land isn’t big enough? Don’t panic. The idea here is to bring new life into what are typically severely underutilized pieces of land – front yards and backyards. You don’t need to own several acres of land to participate. You can learn more here>>
