Sierra Club Town Hall Meeting: Austin Beyond Coal

This is it! Austin Energy is about to release a study on the feasibility of moving Austin Beyond Coal. After they make their case, we need to mobilize and push the city to make the right call. Join us at a town hall meeting to talk about the true costs of coal to Austin and our communities and what we can do about it. You'll hear from experts like former EPA Region 6 administrator and current Senior Beyond Coal campaign representative Dr. Al Armendariz. He will paint the true financial picture on the costs of Austin’s ownership of the Fayette coal plant. Then, Dr. Lauren Ross will connect this picture to the water-energy nexus, and why our energy generation is an integral part of our water resources planning. Want to get involved?
