We’re pleased to announce that we have two FREE workshops scheduled in July for the Great Texas Tree Roundup:
Saturday, July 7 – The Austin History Center (810 Guadalupe, Austin, TX, 78701)
10:00 am – 1:30 pm
Saturday, July 28 – Austin Public Library, Yarbrourgh Branch (2200 Hancock Dr., Austin, TX, 78756)
10:00 am – 1:30 pm
Participants will be identifying and adding nearby trees to the Roundup database. Workshops cover basic tree identification skills, data collection techniques and a website tutorial. If possible, bring a laptop (with the ability to connect to wireless internet), a digital camera (or smart phone), and a download cord for photos.
More information and a registration link can be found on the The Roundup website: http://www.treeroundup.org/participate/workshop_results.php
We’d be much obliged if you would share this opportunity far and wide!
Best,
Kari
