Austin Night of Awareness: Beyond The Bridge Film Screening

Get ready for an evening of film, advocacy, and impact! Join us for an evening of impactful storytelling and community engagement on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 4:00 PM at AFS Cinema. We’ll be showcasing Beyond The Bridge, a powerful documentary that delves into the realities of homelessness, offering a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by people living without stable housing and how communities are finding real solutions.
Before and after the screening, explore our resource tables featuring local organizations and advocates who are leading the fight against homelessness. You’ll have the chance to learn more about their work, purchase advocacy merchandise, and discover ways to get involved. In between screenings there will be a panel of experts exploring the challenges and opportunities our city faces in addressing homelessness, highlighting current efforts and the critical gaps that remain.
This is more than just a film screening—it’s an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, engage in meaningful dialogue, and learn how we can all make a difference in our community. Come be a part of an inspiring night that shines a light on the untold stories beyond the bridge.
Schedule:
- 4:30pm – 6pm – first film screening
- 6pm – 7:30pm – panel discussion
- 7:45pm – 9:15pm – second film screening

While the ticket for the panel discussion is free, it is essential to reserve your spot in advance. Please remember that reserving a ticket for the film screening does not automatically secure your place at the panel. Make sure to grab a ticket to ensure your seat is saved for this important conversation!
A note about ticketing: Registering for the panel DOES NOT include a ticket to one of the screenings. You will need to secure your donation-based ticket for the screening of your choice separately from registering for the panel.
