The City of Austin’s Quality of Life Commissions are holding three budget townhalls in October 2023 and November 2023 to prepare their budget recommendations for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The Investing in Community budget town hall meetings will serve as community listening sessions to determine what communities need right now, and how commissions’ budget recommendations can address those needs.
These meetings, hosted by the Joint Inclusion Committee, are free and open to the public, with two in-person meetings, and one meeting via Zoom. Each meeting is scheduled for 1.5 hours each. The budget town hall meetings are scheduled to address broad community topics on the following dates:
