We would like to invite you to attend the Equity Office’s and Austin Public Health’s Together Against Covid-19: A Multilingual Community Conversation on Saturday, July 11, 2020. The event is at 10 a.m. on Zoom and will feature two panels and breakout sessions with interpretation services for Spanish, Arabic, Burmese and Vietnamese speakers.
For this event the Equity Office and Austin Public Health are embracing language justice. With the help of bidirectional interpretation, residents will be able to listen to others and share perspectives in their own voices. Neighbors who speak different languages will be able to problem-solve together. City and County officials will hear about how COVID-19 is affecting residents who speak English, Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, and Vietnamese. This is the meaning of Together Against COVID-19.
