Cancelled: Juneteenth Celebration & Social Justice “Pull Up” Rally

“On behalf of the Austin Area Urban League board, staff, auxiliaries, and volunteers we would like to thank you for your continued support. We have been consistently monitoring the COVID-19 data and reports in Austin, as the infection and death rates continue to spike this causes growing concern for your safety. Our concern for your health and well being is the reason we have decided to cancel our “Juneteenth Celebration and Social Justice “Pull Up” Rally. Instead, we will continue to align our efforts and resources to support the COVID-19 impact on the most vulnerable Central Texas communities and stand against social injustice.

Through our Central Texas Rapid Relief and Response Program, we are currently servicing 900+ families in Austin with over 2000 applications being processed. As you consider what you can do to make a difference as we approach the day we celebration liberation for people of color, consider safely supporting the Austin Area Urban League to conquer COVID-19 and standing in solidarity for the social injustices that we are seeing sweeping the nation by:
