Urban Patchwork Field and Harvest

Weekly work day combined with learning about field maintenance, building and fence maintenance, vegetable bed prep, etc. RSVP required for location confirmation by writing to volunteer@urbanpatchwork.org.

Volunteers learn gardening techniques, soil health and conservation, permaculture and biomimicry ideas, food cultivation, livestock care and land care while helping build community food security for Austin. UP currently provides food for 30 families and growing.

Volunteers need to arrive on time and equipped with sun protection and a water bottle. We will often be working in other people’s front and back yards, so bathroom facilities are not available.
