Austin was the first city in Texas to pass a comprehensive tree protection ordinance. Recognizing that trees provide many benefits, this ordinance doesn’t only regulate tree protection during construction, it regulates the impact homeowners & renters can have on trees. Many common home improvement projects could require a tree permit.
