Sponsored Post – from the Austin Parks Foundation
You love our city’s parks. They’re where you relax, walk your dogs, go for a run, or play frisbee golf.
But they wouldn’t be so relaxing and beautiful without a little help every once and a while.
That’s why, twice a year, the Austin Parks Foundation hosts “It’s My Park Day.”
It’s My Park Day is the Austin Parks Foundation’s biggest city-wide volunteer event of the year. During the last It’s My Park Day, over 3,000 volunteers worked on nearly 100 projects around town. That’s the equivalent of seven park maintenance employees working full-time for a whole year!Altogether, including labor, this one day represented an investment of over $250,000 for Austin’s parks.
On November 3rd, the Austin Parks Foundation wants to do it all over again. You can sign up to volunteer at a park in your neighborhood here>>
