From Austin Energy Green Building –

Urban gardens create great benefits for our community whether they’re in your own backyard or the neighborhood. This seminar explores the value of trees to environmental quality and wildlife as well as provides an overview of Austin’s community garden programs, initiatives that introduce gardening to young people and sustainable food production. A local non-profit food center and City of Austin speakers will share insights from their programs and examples of how urban gardens contribute to a healthier city.
