From Austin Energy Green Building –
The University of Texas at Austin’s Health District is host to one of the most dense and diverse collections of green-certifications in the United States. The UT Austin Office of Sustainability will provide a brief overview of the health district and overlapping sustainability certifications. From there, attendees will have two tour options:
- UT Austin Landscape Services staff will accompany attendees to the view the Health Transformation Building’s green roof, then walk along the creek to discuss SITESv2 related elements
- UT Austin Utilities and Energy Management staff will accompany attendees to visit the PEER-certified Chilling Station 7
The tour will conclude with an overview of the Health District’s LEED and AEGB certified teaching hospital, Dell Seton Medical Center.

Following the tour, seminar attendees are invited to join an AEGB and LEED plaque ceremony celebrating multiple sustainability certifications achieved within the health district, including a 4-Star AEGB rating for the Teaching Hospital.
