Tree Talk Winter Walk + Tree & Shrub Plant Sale at Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

November 27 @ 11:34 am

Free Admission.

Texas trees are a gift of nature.  Majestic species like the live oak, bald cypress, cedar elm, pecan and many others give us shade from the hot sun, cool our urban areas and enhance the value of our homes.

Our annual Tree Talk Winter Walk is a perfect time to explore the beauty and benefits of native trees and shrubs. Get tips on landscape design and tree maintenance and learn about native species with walks and talks led by local tree experts. Talks start at 11 a.m. and continue on the hour until 2 p.m.

Shop for that "just right" tree and shrub at a special plant sale in our Courtyard. There will be a select group of Texas native trees and shrubs grown by the skilled Wildflower Center nursery staff. Visit with staff from the Texas Forest Service and learn about wildfire awareness and the Urban-Wildland Interface.

Tree & Shrub Plant Sale: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Wildflower Center Courtyard
