Home composting is an efficient and easy way to convert food and garden scraps into a rich, productive soil amendment that can go right back into your garden. A home compost system can save money on pricey store-bought amendments and reduces your food waste that would otherwise end up in a land fill. Join Sustainable Food Center staff and learn how to make a home compost system and correctly tend the pile. Worm composting will be demonstrated and you will learn how to construct an easy worm bin for small spaces. Bring a 1/2 gallon size container and take home compost tea and instructions to make more at home.
