From the Friends of Walnut Creek –

As part of Its My Park Day on 3/5/16, the Friends of Walnut Creek is seeking 100 volunteers to help clean the trash out of Walnut Creek along the new North Walnut Creek Hike and Bike Trail opening March 1st.  Volunteers are encouraged to go to the Austin Parks Foundation web page for Its My Park Day and scroll down to Walnut Creek Park and Trail Cleanup to help and get a free Tee Shirt! Wear sturdy shoes and long pants, its rough terrain.  Also like the Facebook page for Friends of Walnut Creek to learn more  about helping maintain the park.
