Guest Post from – Yaira Robinson and Bee Moorhead, of Texas Interfaith Power and Light
Yaira Robinson and Bee Moorhead of Texas Interfaith Power and Light, who are in Paris for the UN Climate Conference. They are sharing their experiences with the EcoNetwork via their blog, Boots ‘N’ Berets.
For their second day in Paris, Bee and Yaira visit Le Bourget. From Yaira:
The official negotiations are next door, and we are getting some updates from that side. In the meantime, there’s plenty going on in the Civil Society area–an expo, workshops, panel presentations, ad hoc meetings, activist art, interfaith prayer services….The energy is palpable. People of the earth, we are on the move.
Bee and Yaira also talked to three people about why they came to the Paris talks: Liya Rechtman, Manager with the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life in Washington, D.C.; Serena Hertel, a student at Pitzer College in Los Angeles, CA; and Rev. Peggy Clarke, Minister at First Unitarian Society of Westchester in Hastings-on-Hudson, NY.
