The Bug Business: How to Start a New Industry

How can Austin connect and collaborate across other sectors of the food and tech industry to overcome some of the challenges the bug industry is creating.  

For those that are not familiar, the topic of eating bugs continue to grow every year. Protein bars, wholesale crickets for stir-fry, even cricket beer is being brewed right here in Austin. Come join the discussion about some of the challenges of the bug business. No prior knowledge necessary, come with an open mind and curious palate.

What are the regulations? How to deal with the psychological taboos? Where can get/use the right industrial Equipment? Why don’t copackers like us? How should insects be presented on a plate?
