It’s so much more economical to purchase a whole chicken instead of pieces – plus, it tastes better and you can use the bones to make stock!
In the hands-on portion of class, each participant will cut up a pasture-raised chicken from the SFC Farmers’ Market to take home. From there, we’ll demonstrate deboning, stock making and grinding meat. You will also receive (and sample) recipes that use leftover chicken and chicken stock.
Classes are for adults; teenagers may participate with a parent or guardian present.
A portion of this class will be active, so please dress for the kitchen (closed-toe shoes, comfortable clothes that can get a little dirty, hair tie for long hair, etc.).
