13 Mar Give Green during the 24-Hour Amplify Austin Campaign

Austin has a great track record of successful short-term campaigns to fund good things. We have passed bond packages to fund the purchase of water quality protection lands, park land and more. An exciting, and wildly successful, new campaign started last year in Austin. In 2013,  I Live Here, I Give Here produced the first Amplify Austin 24-hour fundraising event with the goal of raising $1 million in 24 hours. With 320 participating nonprofits they collectively pulled in $2.8 million in that first effort!

This year, more than 400 nonprofits are participating in the 2014 Amplify Austin campaign taking place between 6pm March 20th and 6pm March 21st. All of these organizations play an important role in making our city a better place to live. There are groups doing important work in all categories of service but, of course, it is our duty to let you know that more than 20% of the listed organizations have an environmental focus and sixteen of them are Austin EcoNetwork partners.

We encourage you to connect with one or more of our partners and find your passion for giving back to Central Texas! The 2014 goal is $4 million… Get ready to crank up the giving!

Note: Individuals and businesses can lead fundraisering efforts. You pick your own fundraising goal for a chosen nonprofit and accept donations on your fundraising page on www.AmplifyATX.org. All fundraisers must register and complete an online fundraising page. You can get started on their GET INVOLVED page.
