Growin’ Together Winter Show-Off 2013
Student Showcase and Fundraiser
Come celebrate our students and their work at this end-of-semester showcase and fundraiser.
Featuring:
-Debut screenings of student-made films.
-Specialty foods homemade by cooking class.
-Student presentations of carpentry and green technology projects.
-Live performance by music class

Our kids have spent all semester working and playing tirelessly on all manner of projects.
The actors, directors and cinematographers will be on hand to present their movie “The Serenity Stone”, a film about two tribes struggling to work past their differences and live in peace. Hear how they conceived, created, and finished this full movie in one semester!
Our young cooks will treat everyone to a taste of their skills and talents in the kitchen with tasty, healthy fancy foods. We still haven’t convinced them that this doesn’t include dessert, so don’t miss the treats – plenty sweet without the white sugar! Ingredients provided by Wheatsville Food Coop.
Jam out to original songs by our music class. These young musicians worked together to explore various genres of music and make them their own. Warning, you may want to dance.
Experience sustainable living through the eyes and hands of children. See students present their Green Technology projects, including a cob oven made entirely from natural and salvaged materials.
It’s the Growin’ Together Car Show! Our carpentry class has designed and built two human-powered cars from scratch. Checkout their unique designs and go for a spin.
We at Growin’ Together are committed to keeping our unique program diverse and accessible by offering sliding scale pricing, scholarships, and work-trade. But we need your support to keep us going.
