SH45SW Opponents: Please Upload your Official Comments to CTRMA by October 18, 2013

The Southwest Austin area, with its sensitive watershed, thousands of acres of protected land, and hundreds of neighborhoods, could be decimated by the proposed highway system that includes the Southwest extension of State Highway 45 (SH45SW), overpasses and/or underpasses on South Mopac at Slaughter Lane and LaCrosse Avenue, and elevated roads in view of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) is beginning their environment impact statement (EIS) on SH45SW. You have until October 18, 2013 to register your official comments with CTRMA regarding this destructive road. Please go to http://www.sh45sw.com/environmental/ and let CTRMA know this road must be deleted from Austin's mobility plans forever.

Remind our politicians and bureaucrats that public transportation, mass transit, better shared-use paths, and local road improvements are much better than new pavement over our aquifer.
