SXSW Eco Conference “Green Army” Volunteer Events

AMD, Keep Austin Beautiful, and the LBJ Wildflower Center are partnering with SXSW Eco to deliver two unique “Green Army” volunteer opportunities on Tuesday, October 8th.
Event 1: 10/8, 8-10am. Volunteers meet at the Austin Convention Center rotunda and disperse into clean-up teams heading to Rainey St, Waller Creek, and Lady Bird Lake via kayaks (thanks to Congress Avenue Kayaks!)
Event 2: 10/8, 3-5pm. Volunteers meet at Four Seasons. Some store and preserve important native tree seeds by “seed-banking”, while others clean-up Lady Bird Lake via foot or kayak.
Registered volunteers can get a complimentary 3-day SXSW Eco conference pass for October 7-9th! Please RSVP below. Volunteer must be 12 or older and volunteers under 18 may have restricted access to certain areas. All materials will be provided. Please wear appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, and please bring a reusable water bottle.

Time: 8-10am and 3-5pm
Location: Group 1 will meet at Austin Convention Center and Group 2 will meet at the Four Seasons
