Social Good Summit

EVENT

The Social Good Summit Austin will take place on September 24, 2013 and we are excited to bring you a thought provoking, inspiring, and action driven experience. This event will focus on not only the great progress we have made in a year but more importantly the new and innovative developments we have made as an organization to incorporate your voice, ideas, and actions.

THEME

The theme for our Austin summit will be “Me to the power of (We)” This simple concept aligns all of our efforts and purpose in creating social good in the world. We believe that when we empower the individual to spur innovative change, and can gather around to support him or her, then we set forth a ripple of positive change that becomes contagious and continuous.

SOCIAL INNOVATORS FAST PITCH

You will witness our first ever Social Innovators Fastpitch that will feature social entrepreneurs and innovators from our community who are working on changing the world. You will get to hear their idea and vote on who you want to lead the next initiative for the year. This is evolving into a more democratic system in effort to give you the power and allow you the individual to get involved and create mutual accountability. This is the way we will work towards creating the change we all speak about and desire.

SOCIAL INNOVATORS FUND

The prize money will be awarded to the winner and those funds will be driven by our Social Innovators Fund that we have launched to allow you to have a say in the direction of our city and community by supporting the innovator who you feel is going to create the change we are seeking. The fund will become an institution at our event. The fund is a testament of our communities unique altruism. It positions Austin as one of the leaders in social change and global impact. Join us as we showcase these two new additions to our event.

GLOBAL FAMILY

We will also be communicating with our brothers in Brazil and in New York City, where they are hosting the main event. We will hear what they are working on to help grow the Social Good movement and what amazing efforts are being launched around the world from passionate individuals like you.

KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

In addition to our new features we will also invite a couple of special guests who will remain a secret for now that will share their insights and stories of what they are doing on a local and global scale to create social change and how you can get involved.
