The Hottest Day of the Year Ride and Benefit Party is Saturday, August 10th, 2013.

Join us on this annual tradition of making the most of the summer heat, having fun, and finding ways to stay cool. This is a leisurely paced social bike ride with multiple stops along the way to a great after-party.

We’ll start off at 2pm at Austin Tri-Cyclist, 923 Barton Springs Road. Our ride stops include Stacy Pool, Shipe Pool, El Chilito (for discounted tacos!) and Windmill Bicycles (for Hops & Grain beer!). Then we’ll head to the Benefit Party at The Liberty, 1618-1/2 E. 6th St. [Contrary to previous notices, the ride will _not_ return to Austin Tri-Cyclist for a second time. Please plan accordingly.]

We’ll have raffle prizes, drinks, dj and more, including gift cards to East Side Kings, at The Liberty. Lenore Shefman from Cyclistlaw Attorneys will share her new smartphone app that helps people in the case of a collision. Tom Wald from Bike Austin will speak on Bike Austin’s big plans through the end of 2014.

Admission to Benefit Party at The Liberty has a $5 suggested donation.
