Why should kids have all the fun?! Parents, join your 9-13 year old child for a week of fun exploring water in Austin’s creeks or Edwards Aquifer. Groups with adult leaders are welcome! A supervisory adult is required to attend with their child/children.

COST: $40 deposit per family (deposit will be returned if you attend the entire camp).

Registration deadline is one week before camp begins. Space is limited to 30 participants, so register early!

Priority will be given to first time participants

Session A: June 10 – 13

Session B: July 8 – 11

Session C (3 days): July 16 – 18 

 

 

Watershed Camp (Session A: June 10 – 13, 9am-noon)

  • Explore the Colorado River with a scavenger hunt challenge
  • Wade in the creek and find out how bugs tell us about water quality
  • Clean up and float on Lady Bird Lake
  • Learn Green Gardening for water quality

Watershed & Aquifer Camp (Session B: July 8 – 11, 9am-noon)

  • Explore Barton Creek with a scavenger hunt challenge
  • Paddle and clean up Barton Creek
  • Get down into the Aquifer through a local cave
  • Wade in the creek and find out how bugs tell us about water quality

  • Explore Bull Creek watershed and test water quality
  • Get down into the Aquifer through a local cave (not for the claustrophobic!)
  • Canoe and cleanup Barton Creek
