02 Mar A 2nd Campaign Launches “Austin, Quit Coal”

Flavia de la Fuente of The Texas Sierra Club has gotten a 2nd petition going, which calls for shutting down Austin’s coal plant (160 signatures in its first week).

This one automatically emails your signed letter of concern to Austin’s City Council and calls out the coal plant’s detrimental harm to area trees & people.

The effort is being support by local and national members of the Sierra Club, GreenPeace, and other enviro groups. I signed Monday.
