SUMMARY:City Manager Budget Conversations At Northwest YMCA
DESCRIPTION:Austinites are invited to  “Your Budget\, Your Priorities: Community Conversations with TC Broadnax\,”  a series of town hall public meetings hosted by the Austin City Manager designed to gather community input on City budget priorities. Broadnax will also discuss the process and the challenges of drafting the City’s proposed budget.   \nThis series builds on conversations the City Manager started with the community last year. He believes engaging with Austinites early in the process to identify community priorities is important. \nIn the spring City staff begin identifying both City and community needs while drafting the City Manager’s proposed budget\, which he presents to City Council in mid-July. After review\, analysis and amendments\, the Austin City Council adopts the City’s budget in mid-August.   \nThese community meetings provide the community Austinites with a unique opportunity to learn more about the budgeting process and offer feedback before the City Manager develops the proposed fiscal year 2026-27 budget.  \nMeeting dates\, times and locations  \n\n\n\nWednesday\, March 25\, 6:30 pm – George Morales Dove Springs Recreation Center\, 5801 Ainez Dr\n\n\n\n\nThursday\, March 26\, 6:30 pm – ACC South Campus\, 1820 W. Stassney Ln\n\n\n\n\nMonday\, March 30\, 6:30 pm – ACC Rio Grande Campus\, 1218 West Ave\, Building 3000\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, April 8\, 11:30 am – Virtual \n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, April 11\, 11 am – Northwest Recreation Center\, 2913 Northland Dr\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, April 15\, 6:30 pm – Northwest YMCA\, 5807 McNeil Dr\n\n\n\nInterpretation services for American Sign Language and Spanish will be available at the event. Services for other languages ​​can be requested by calling 3-1-1 or 512-974-2000 no later than 72 hours before the meeting.
