DESCRIPTION:Join us for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony of Torch Literary Arts’ new home\, the Torch Center! We’ll have treats\, giveaways\, and more at this housewarming celebration. \nDate: August 11\, 2026 \nRibbon-Cutting: Noon \nHours: 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT \nLocation: Torch Center at The LINC\, 6406 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd\, Suite 1807\, Austin\, TX 78752 (near Easy Tiger and Sierra Club) \nThis event is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated. \nTorch Literary Arts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established to publish and promote creative writing by Black women. We publish contemporary writing by experienced and emerging writers alike. Torch has featured work by Colleen J. McElroy\, Tayari Jones\, Sharon Bridgforth\, Crystal Wilkinson\, Patricia Smith\, Natasha Trethewey\, Elizabeth Alexander\, and others.
