DESCRIPTION:Sunrise ATX is partnering with Austin Liberation Youth Movement provide free food\, water\, clothing\, and home goods to the community for pick up at the parking lot of 3908 Avenue B.\n\n \nWe’ve been collecting donations of clothing and home goods from the community for months and we’re excited to give it all away! Items are available for free or pay what you can\, and all donations we receive will go back into the Austin community. Our inventory includes adult and children’s clothing\, children’s toys\, kitchen items\, and random things you might find at a garage sale! If you’re in need of a certain item\, DM us and we can confirm if we have it! If you are in need of any of these items\, or could use some free groceries but cannot get to this event\, DM us and we’ll work on getting items delivered to you!\n\n \nWe’re also raising money to purchase groceries to have available at the event. The climate crisis is\, at its core\, a justice issue that is impacting each of our communities now. In order to truly grow and sustain the movement we need to create lasting and transformative change\, we must understand the deep and intimate ways that this disaster impacts and threatens each of our lives. \nOn September 14th 2019\, Our Climate Voices & Loam are coming together for an international day of climate storytelling where we will workshop\, cultivate\, and share our personal climate stories and learn how to activate them for meaningful climate action. The strongest grassroots movements succeed when we understand how our stories intersect with our struggles for freedom and liberation\, when we know intimately who and what we’re fighting for.
