DESCRIPTION:From in.gredients –\nWhile y’all helped make 2016 our most successful year yet\, a rapid increase in property taxes\, rent\, and other economic factors forced us to make a difficult decision at the close of 2016: use our dwindling funds to shut the business down\, despite posting our best year yet\, or risk it all and keep on our promising trajectory long enough to weather this financial storm. We’ve opted to put our fate in your hands – our amazing and enthusiastic community – by going all in: we’re launching an IndieGoGo campaign on February 3! We’re hoping to raise $30\,000 to invest in weatherizing our pergola\, improving our playground and grounds\, adding espresso service and more. \nWe are one of a tiny handful of zero waste grocers in the world\, sending only about five pounds of trash to the landfill each month and employing a “triple bottom line” business model that values people\, planet and profits. While we’ve had to make some tough decisions in our short 4.5 year history\, we’ve never compromised the core ethos of what makes us in.gredients\, and we’d like to keep it that way. \nThe Launch Party on Feb. 3rd from 5-9PM will be at our storefront on 2610 Manor Road. Musical guest Batty jr. will be performing live\, with additional special guest performances. Local artisan vendors including Delysia Chocolatier\, MALK Organics\, KTonic Kombucha\, Zhi Tea\, Yellowbird Sauceand Texas Keeper Cider will be sharing samples and debuting prizes for donations to GROW in.gredients. More than forty local vendors have already pledged their support and donated a wide variety of tantalizing prizes\, including products\, parties\, tours\, classes\, and tastings.
