DESCRIPTION:From the Sustainable Food Center and Dolce Neve –\nCome celebrate National Ice Cream Month with the highly delectable and popular South Austin gelateria\, Dolce Neve\, in SFC’s The Happy Kitchen. \nLearn the secrets of making traditional Italian gelato using fresh\, local ingredients from Austin-area dairies and SFC Farmers’ markets. Owner and gelato-maker extraordinaire\, Marco Silvestrini\, will show you how to make fun\, flavorful and seasonal gelato and popsicles that you can recreate at home. Come to class ready for hands-on participation and\, if you eat dinner beforehand\, be sure to save extra room for dessert! \nWe will sample what we make\, but it will not be a complete meal. \n\nAdditional Details: \nClasses are for adults. Youth ages 8 and up may attend with purchase of an additional ticket and close parent/guardian supervision during class. \nRegistration closes two business days before class. All attendees must purchase tickets to attend. No walk-ins allowed.
