Join our Facebook event to join in on the discussion here. \nBicycle Film Festival Select Shorts curated collection of select shorts will take you on a journey around the world as we learn about a charismatic Ghanian immigrant in Amsterdam who teaches refugee adult women to ride bikes – experience a birds-eye view of a BLM bicycle protest ride from New York to DC – feel the anguish of a father’s loss – the struggle of a young woman and her bike in Iran – and reprieve from genocide through cycle sport. BFF Select Shorts never fail to uplift and inspire. \nThis program includes a roster of films featuring musicians\, directors and artists\, Dan Deacon\, Oscar Winning Orlando von Einsiedel\, Cannes Film Festival winning Timothy Spall\, Award winning director Michael Corvino and Iran’s up and coming film talent Teymour Ghaderi. \n The films will remain available to ticket holders through December 20\, 2020.

There will be great vendors\, free Cuvee Coffee and tacos and a photo booth by Party Favor Photo. \nThis year we will celebrate the Bike After Work Party with music by Chulita Vinyl Club\, treats from Gemelli Gelato\, and delicious beverages at Cheer Up Charlie’s\, 5-8pm! Pick up a Bicycle Passport at any morning fueling station and collect stamps at each subsequent station you visit. DESCRIPTION:From soulciti\, Counter Balance: ATX\, Austin B-cycle\, Bike Austin\, Six Square Austin’s Black Cultural District\, Austin Area Urban League\, Black Girls Do Bike Austin\, Glorious Barbecue and The Austin Socialite – \nLET’S RIDE! \nWe’ll meet up for pre-ride formation at 8:00am at Huston-Tillotson University. We will have a stretch and warm-up session led by fitness expert Dionne Ross. The ride starts at 8:30am and the route will be approximately 5 miles as we tour East Austin. \nThe bike tour will stop at significant African American landmarks in the neighborhood along the route. \nYou can ride your own bicycle\, or one can be rented courtesy of Austin B-cycle. The bike tour will be led by hip artists and community activists RIDERS AGAINST the STORM (RAS). To keep the energy level high and your blood flow pumping – we’l ride along to the best music of Michael Jackson and the 80s! #dontstoptilyougetenough \nAt the conclusion of the bike tour\, we’ll celebrate and network with breakfast tacos\, sausage wraps and fresh fruit provided by Glorious Barbecue Catering and cool refreshments from Make My Day Ice! \nTHIS IS A SLOW PACE RIDE AND PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN US!\nYou can purchase your ticket here.
