DESCRIPTION:Hosted by Austin Edible Gardens –\nJoin us for a free\, hands-on class to help you plan and plant your fall edible garden. \nLiz Cardinal of Austin Edible Gardens will show you how to set yourself up for a successful fall season in the vegetable garden. This class will benefit those wanting to or just starting a vegetable garden \,as well as seasoned gardeners that would like to learn new techniques or ask questions. Topics that will be covered are: preparing raised beds\, best crops and varieties to choose\, planting techniques\, and organic pest control. Bring a hat\, water bottle\, close-toed shoes and gloves. We will be getting dirty. \nImportant! – We will meet at the MLK Jr Metro Stop train platform on Alexander Ave. and walk to the garden together. There is free street parking on Alexander Ave. and MLK Jr. Blvd. Seats are limited to keep class size small. Everyone must have a ticket to attend.
