07 Jan “Green Shepherds” Climate Crisis Potluck & Symposium
These people are smiling because they're curbing climate change:
invites you to attend our Monthly Symposium:
Green Shepherds Launch & Potluck!
6:30 pm, MONDAY, Jan. 13, 2014
at First Baptist Church (downtown Austin)
with our Energy Action Team.
Join us for a special evening of fun, renewal, fellowship, and education.
In 2012 and 2013, ClimateBuddies.org led our Energy Action Team to accomplish some amazing things. We helped local congregations eliminate 1,000,000 lbs of CO2 pollution and released our climate action manual, “Becoming Carbon Positive,” to name just two.
The culmination of this work is a new program for houses of worship, Green Shepherds. The Green Shepherds program helps Austin congregations: understand exactly where their most effective investments can be made in response to the climate crisis and the program provides support for getting things done.
Join us Monday, Jan. 13 to learn from “beta” Green Shepherd participants about their experiences becoming carbon positive. Hear expert speakers update us on the climate crisis and explain how the Green Shepherds program works. Arrive at 6:30pm for fellowship and potluck!
