DESCRIPTION:Come out April 14th from 7 pm to 8 pm to La Madeleines at 5493 Brodie Ln Austin\, TX 78745\, to listen to Amy Stansbury talk about how to make a difference and become more engaged in your community’s future politically and in other ways. Come anywhere from 6:30 pm to 7 pm to get your food ordered and drinks purchased\, and to socialize! \nAmy Stansbury is the Editor-In-Chief of The Austin Common\, a local news site and civic education organization that uses art and social media to make learning about local government easy\, accessible\, and even a little bit fun. She’s also the host of The Austin Common Radio Hour\, a podcast & radio show on 91.7 FM and the co-author of “A Beginner’s Guide To Local Government\,” a coloring book/zine that teaches Austinites how local government works and how to make their voice be heard on the local level. \nWhen she’s not nerding out over City Council meetings\, Amy enjoys spending time outdoors You can keep up with Amy on The Austin Common’s Instagram page – @The_Austin_Common.
