SUMMARY:Open House: Programming on the Butler Trail & Seaholm Waterfront
DESCRIPTION:Feedback is the best way to improve and create community programming that benefits you! We’re starting a new phase of community engagement focused on improving and shaping our public programming on the Butler Trail\, including the future Seaholm Waterfront. We invite you to join The Trail Conservancy for an open house inside the Seaholm Intake Facility on Saturday\, November 7\, from 9- 11 a.m. to share your input on programming around the Butler Trail. \nCan’t make it? \nWe still want your feedback! Please take 4 minutes to reflect on your Butler Trail experience and complete our Community Programming Survey. \nWhat is Seaholm Waterfront?\nThe historic Art Deco Seaholm Intake building—formerly a power plant pump house—is being transformed into a community asset for daily use. In partnership with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department\, The Trail Conservancy will undertake a renovation of this building and its grounds to create Seaholm Waterfront\, a unique space for everyone who lives\, works\, and travels in Austin. With architectural design resuming\, the Phase 2 project will take 3–4 years to complete\, after which The Trail Conservancy will operate the site.

SUMMARY:Bird Walk with Travis Audubon
DESCRIPTION:Join Rachel Zierzow and TTC Environmental Programs Manager Jonatan Salinas to find birds on the Butler Trail at the Holly Trailhead. SUMMARY:Tree ID for Seed Savers at Circle Acres
DESCRIPTION:Have you been wondering what kind of tree is growing in your yard? Maybe you want to learn a fun new skill? Well\, you’re in luck\, because the Central Texas Seed Savers and TreeFolks are coming to Circle Acres to lead a Tree ID lesson to help you learn a little more about what’s growing around you! \nYou will learn how to identify native trees\, and how to safely and ethically collect seeds to donate to the TreeFolks Seeds To Trees Native Nursery. \nSpecial thanks to Ecology Action for hosting this event at their Circle Acres Nature Preserve. Parking info is available on their website. \nThe Central Texas Seed Savers is a growing network of people who love seeds with the mission of preventing the extinction of ecologically and culinarily important plants in the Central Texas Region. \nTreeFolks was founded as Austin’s Urban Forestry non-profit in 1989. Since then\, TreeFolks has grown to work with communities throughout Central Texas in community tree planting\, tree giveaways\, education and urban-wildland reforestation efforts. Our mission is to empower Central Texans to build stronger communities through planting and caring for trees. \nThis class is free and open to anyone\, but please register to attend.
