DESCRIPTION:Central Texas Plant People is having our BIG FALL plant swap & market at Tillery Street Plant Co! \nVendor Application: https://forms.gle/T25VkfEtiBY3ZXk36 \nIt’s going to be LOTS OF FUN! There will be a curated vendor line-up\, giveaways and LOTS of plants to buy and swap! Bring everyone to this free family fun event! \nGardening master or new plant parent everyone is welcomed! Make sure to RSVP to this awesome event! You’ll meet some amazing people and bring home some new plant babies! \n PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY. \n What to bring? \n-Healthy plants! Starters\, cuttings\, houseplants\, succulents\, bulbs\, trees\, shrubs\, orchids\, etc. as long as you’re ready to part with them. \n-Clearly labeled plants. (Common name\, botanical name\, care instructions\, etc.) There will be a post on the event page that you can print out and attach to your plants or use as a reference so you can write everything down. \n-Plants in soil\, water or carefully wrapped. \n CHECK YOUR PLANTS FOR MEALY BUGS\, SPIDER MITES\, THRIPS\, ETC! I REPEAT… CHECK YOUR PLANTS! \n No plants to swap? \n It’s okay! \n-You can also bring pots\, macrame\, plant art\, etc. (anything you are willing to part with for a plant works!) \n-There will be a section with some left over plants at the end. \n-Some amazing people are bringing plants for everyone to take home! \n-Come just to socialize and network with awesome plant people! \n-There will be multiple giveaways going on during the event. \nIf you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out to an admin. Updegrove. \nThis program is hosted by the Friends of the LBJ Library. \nAbout the speaker\nStacey Abrams is a New York Times bestselling author\, entrepreneur\, and political leader. She served as Minority Leader in the Georgia House of Representatives\, and she was the first Black woman to become a gubernatorial nominee for a major party in United States history. Abrams has devoted her career to democracy protection\, voting rights\, and effective public policy. She is the founder of Fair Fight\, Fair Count\, and the American Pride Rises Network\, and she is the lead organizer of the 10 Steps Campaign\, a nationwide mobilization and education effort against competitive authoritarianism. She has received degrees from Spelman College\, the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas\, and Yale Law School. \nLocation and Parking\nThe LBJ Auditorium is located on the lower level of the LBJ complex at 2313 Red River St. Access to the auditorium will be through the lobby of the LBJ School of Public Affairs.
