The purpose of the plan is to guide the growth and redevelopment of East Riverside and to ensure that future changes benefit everyone who lives\, works\, and plays along the corridor. \nAbout the Grove-Riverside Site  \nLed by the City of Austin\, the Grove Riverside Site is nearly 125 acres that includes three City‑owned land parcels at East Riverside Drive and Grove Boulevard\, next to the future Austin Light Rail and planned Grove Station. The City is working with the community to understand local priorities and identify the benefits people want to see. This input will help shape how the site supports current residents and meets the needs of the community as the area grows. The effort to develop the site is still in the planning phase—no development partner has been selected\, and no construction has begun—and public input will shape what’s possible.

DESCRIPTION:RSVP for our post-budget season listening session! I’ll have city news\, council updates\, and 2026 bond details. We’ll also be joined by Director Mac Cummins of Austin Economic Development who will speak about upcoming economic develop plans and how they could impact Austin. As always we’ll welcome all of your questions\, concerns\, and ideas. Explore immersive exhibits\, uncover iconic moments from American history\, and see the museum in a whole new light\, including: \n\n\nThe American Experiment: Pursuing Our Promise\n\n\nWhat We Bring To The Table: Tales of History and Home\n\n\nAustin Past & Present: Through the Lens of Jay Godwin\n\n\nRefreshed Permanent Exhibit\n\n\n\nEven better\, on June 17\, July 15\, and August 12\, beginning at 5 PM\, local visitors can enjoy a special discounted admission rate. Adults living in zip codes beginning with 787\, 786\, or 789 can receive $12 admission by showing a Texas-issued driver’s license or ID with a matching address.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate Austin’s local literature scene at Meanwhile Brewing for the fifth annual Lagers & Literature Book Fair! \nFrom 11-4pm\, we’ll have a variety of vendors including local authors and printmakers\, Austin Public Library\, independent bookstores\, specialized booksellers\, archives\, and book makers. Feels So Good is screen printing this year’s poster design by local artist Adrienne Rivers on canvas tote bags live from 11-1pm. Bags are limited so come early to grab yours! Slowpoke Tattoo is also popping up from 11-4pm with bookish tattoo designs available. Additionally\, make a bookmark with Carlie Arts! Tickets sold separately. \nOther activities include zine making with Lone Star Zine Fest\, book press coasters with Austin Book Arts Center\, and customized poems from Typewriter Rodeo. \nPlus\, we’re releasing Bookworm\, a Coffee Cream Ale. Enjoy Bookworm in cans to go or on draft in the taproom. A portion of proceeds from this beer will go to the Inside Books Project and The Library Foundation to support literacy and access to books in Central Texas. \nLastly\, BookPeople presents book signings by local authors.
