DESCRIPTION:Greetings\, we’d like to thank you for volunteering with Keep Austin Beautiful and Austin Resource Recovery! \nCleanup supplies will be provided on-site. If you prefer you may bring your own gloves. \nWhen picking up litter\, Keep Austin Beautiful recommends participants do so responsibly and at their comfort level. \nEvery year\, the annual Juneteenth Parade in east Austin generates over 1\,000lbs of recyclable material\, including plastic water bottles and aluminum cans. In an effort to divert material and encourage event recycling\, Austin Resource Recovery is seeking volunteers to help collect recyclable material\, while staged along the parade route. The event is scheduled for Friday\, June 19th. \nEvent Details\nDate: Friday\, June 19th\nTime: 9:30AM-12:00PM\nYou can sign up for a volunteer time slot and location here. \nWhat to bring: A FULL bottle of water and sunscreen are strongly recommended \nPlease Note: Volunteers will help collect and encourage event attendees to recycle right! Recycling stations will be staged along the route and volunteers will oversee proper disposal during the parade. Volunteers will be asked to change recycling liners when full. Must be able to pick up 15lbs. Instructions and safety gear will be provided. Extreme high temperatures are expected. Comfortable shoes and clothes are recommended. Parking and day of details will be confirmed the week of the event.

The event is expected to bring over 40\,000 attendees. In an effort to divert the material out of the local landfill\, Austin Resource Recovery is seeking volunteers to help attendees dispose material in the correct bin and manage the event collection stations. The event is scheduled for Saturday\, July 4th.  \nYou can sign up to volunteer here.\n\nEvent Details\nDate: Saturday\, July 4th\nTime: 10:00AM-12:30PM\nWhat to bring: A FULL bottle of water and sunscreen are strongly recommended \nYouth Volunteers: All volunteers under the age of 18 must be registered by a parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian must register and attend with the youth volunteer. Independent registrations submitted by minors are not permitted. \nPet Policy: For safety and liability reasons\, pets are not permitted at volunteer events. Service animals are welcome.
