sectors reflect her diverse passions and range from program and volunteer management to education
and classroom teaching and case management for abused and neglected children. Sarah first joined the
Alliance in 2008 as CRA’s first Program Director, building and launching CRA’s signature program, YES:
Youth Experience Stewardship that, to date, has reached over 10,000 central Texas youth. She briefly
left the Alliance to build a statewide network of grassroots efforts as Program Director for Keep Texas
Beautiful. She can’t be away from water for long, and rejoined CRA’s ranks as Executive Director in 2013.

Emily Mixon, a fourth year student at UT majoring in Plan II and Geography with a focus in sustainability. As Director of UT's Campus Environmental Center, she provides support for all the staff members in their ongoing campaigns and events throughout the year, as well as work closely with staff, faculty and student leaders to foster a culture of sustainability across campus through events and educational campaigns.Her goal is to make UT even more of a leader in the campus sustainability movement across the US. When not in the CEC or doing course work, she enjoys hiking, camping, reading good fiction, mentoring a sixth grader at KIPP Austin College Prep, competing in equestrian events, serving with the Orange Jackets, and having adventures in, around, and beyond the Texas Hill Country.
