It's My Park Day

From the Austin Parks Foundation –

Join Austin Parks Foundation for It’s My Parks Day on the first Saturday of March and November. Choose from park improvement projects like clean-ups, plantings, tree-care and trail maintenance in parks all over the city! Details and registration at austinparks.org/IMPD

Our biggest city-wide volunteer event, It’s My Park Day, has expanded to a Spring and Fall event! Each year, thousands of volunteers work to improve parks and greenbelts throughout the city, and this year we’ll be doing it twice.

In 2015, we had nearly 100 projects city-wide, 3,000 volunteers, and 10,000 hours of volunteer labor. That’s equivalent to 5 park maintenance employees working full-time for a whole year! All told, including labor, this one day represented an investment of over a quarter of a million dollars for Austin’s parks.
