From the Save Barton Creek Association –
Come join us at SBCA’s monthly happy hour and learn about the “Oak Hill Parkway” project on highway US 290 and State Highway 71 West in Austin. This is a huge project in an environmentally sensitive area. It is likely to significantly degrade the Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer, local springs and wells, and waterways, especially Williamson Creek.
SBCA Executive Director Angela Richter will describe the project, its potential environmental impact, and outline how we can minimize the damage of this project. Come learn what you can do to help.
As always, Creek Crew Happy Hours are also a great place to mingle with environmental friends and get an after-work drink!
