Growing Cities Screening and Potluck on Food Day

The 5604 Manor Community Garden, Festival Beach Community Garden, and Urban Roots are co-hosting a free screening of Growing Cities, a film that examines the role and potential impact of urban farming in America to revitalize cities and change the way we eat. The film screening and potluck are in celebration of Food Day, a call for healthy, affordable and sustainable food.
A potluck dinner will take place outside in the garden at 6 pm and the film will be shown indoors at 7, followed by a brief conversation on the film and strategies for strengthening the local food movement.
