DEEP ROOTS: BEES & BEEKEEPING
April 4, 2015 10am – 12:30pm
Pollinators are essential for the production of the majority of fruits and vegetables in our gardens, and honeybees are some of the most visible pollinators around. Learn about bees with SFC and Austin Bees in this interactive workshop. We will be discussing why you should care about honeybees and native pollinators, some beekeeping basics, as well as how to attract bees to your garden and support their continued success as local pollinators.
Grow Local gardening classes are all about learning solid gardening skills alongside local gardening experts. We want to build community, have fun, witness the magic in nature, make growing your own food easy, and be part of something bigger – your food system! Proceeds from our for-fee classes support free gardening classes and resources offered to individuals and families in need.
Course fee is $20.
Registration is capped at 25. Please register to attend this course below.
