Park(ing) Day

Coming soon to a parking spot near you! Join us to witness this one-day-only transformation of on-street parking spaces to tiny urban parks!
Two pairs of parking spaces on Congress Ave will be “adopted” for the day. In front of Patagonia, on the West side of Congress, one parklet will offer an oasis in the city, surrounded by bamboo, providing a Zen seating area, small library, and space for thoughtful exchange. This will include a Map Exchange Booth run by the local cartographic collective, Austin's Atlas. A second parklet, in front of Annies Café on the East side of Congress, will showcase Austin’s whimsy – games, performers, up cycled furniture, and an interactive art board.
